How to Prepare Simply Spuds Steamables Microwave—Ready Potatoes:

Fingerling, Golden, Purple, Red, Russet,
and White Potatoes:

  • Place the unopened bag FRONT SIDE DOWN in the microwave.
    DO NOT pierce the bag.
  • Microwave on HIGH for 8 to 9 minutes. Let stand for 1 minute.
  • Carefully cut the bag open and pour the potatoes into a serving bowl.*
  • Toss gently with butter and sprinkle with your favorite seasoning, such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley; add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Sweet Potatoes:

  • Place the unopened bag FRONT SIDE DOWN in the microwave.
    DO NOT pierce the bag.
  • Microwave on HIGH for 8 to 9 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes.
  • Carefully cut the bag open and pour the potatoes onto a serving dish.* Cut the sweet potatoes open lengthwise.
  • Gently fluff or mash the sweet potato flesh with a fork, or scoop it out of the skin with a spoon. If desired, top with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, or your favorite seasoning.
  • Serve and enjoy!
*Use caution when removing the bag from the microwave; package will be HOT!
